Sexual Harassment & Integrity Policy
(Effective at All Locations for the God’s Modulated Miracles Hike and Run Club)
1. Purpose
God’s Modulated Miracles Run Club (GMMRC) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and spiritually uplifting environment for all participants. This policy establishes clear expectations regarding personal integrity, interpersonal conduct, and the absolute prohibition of sexual harassment, harassment of any kind, and inappropriate behavior during any club activity.
2. Core Values
This policy is grounded in the principles of:

Zero tolerance for abuse, harassment, or coercive behavior
3. Definitions
Sexual Harassment includes (but is not limited to):

Unwanted sexual comments, jokes, innuendos, or gestures

Unwelcome physical contact or invasive proximity
-
Requests for sexual favors, whether explicit or implied
-
Sexually suggestive emails, messages, or images
-
Any conduct that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment for others
Other Forms of Harassment may include:

Bullying, intimidation, or coercion

Offensive behavior based on race, gender, age, faith, ability, or other protected characteristics

Repeated disrespect of boundaries after clear communication
Integrity Violations include:
-
Dishonesty about one’s identity, intentions, or credentials
-
Violations of confidentiality, trust, or spiritual fellowship
-
Manipulative or exploitative behavior in romantic, leadership, or mentoring roles
4. Where This Policy Applies
This policy applies to all GMMRC activities, including but not limited to:

Scheduled runs and trail events
-
Online or in-person meetings
-
Travel to and from group events
-
Digital communications involving members (texts, emails, social platforms)
5. Reporting and Accountability

Reports of harassment or misconduct should be made to the Club Integrity Officer, Run Leader, or a designated Council Member as soon as possible.

Reports can be verbal or written and will be treated with confidentiality and respect.

The person receiving the report must escalate the issue to the club leadership within 24 hours.
Anonymous reporting is permitted via the official GMMRC feedback form or email (if available).
6. Investigation and Response

All reports will be reviewed promptly and fairly.

The person accused will have the opportunity to respond.

The club leadership may issue temporary suspension during investigation to ensure safety.

Outcomes may include:

Mediation (if appropriate and agreed upon)

Removal from specific runs or roles
-
Permanent dismissal from the club
-
Referral to legal authorities (if warranted)

7. Protection Against Retaliation
Any retaliation against someone who reports harassment, provides information, or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate removal from the club.
8. Expectations for Leaders and Volunteers

Leaders, coordinators, and volunteers must model respectful and appropriate conduct at all times.

All run leaders are required to undergo annual training in:

Sexual harassment prevention

Conflict resolution
-
Spiritual and emotional boundaries

9. Romantic Relationships within the Club
While GMMRC does not forbid romantic relationships between consenting adults, the following guidelines must be respected:

Leaders may not initiate or pursue romantic relationships with members they supervise.

All relationships must be consensual, respectful, and free from pressure or secrecy.

If a relationship affects group dynamics or safety, the leadership team may request changes to participation roles or assignments.
10. A Spirit of Accountability and Redemption
In alignment with our values of grace and truth, the club encourages:

Growth after honest correction

Reconciliation when appropriate

Forgiveness and restoration when trust is rebuilt
However, safety and respect take priority in all decisions.
